It was for all intents and purposes a fairly quiet first day! The kids were behaved and everything went smoothly. I heard some of our little guys in the hallways crying. It always takes a few weeks for our 4-year-olds to settle in.
I had four classes in the library and we read a story, reviewed the rules and got seating settled.
I am tired, but quite pleased with the first day!

I am glad the first day went over well. Those 3 and 4 year old cries...oh I remember them from my teaching days! Now, in just 2 weeks my daughter is going to be one of them!! :(
I still cry a little the first day of school.

Cathy, It is so hard for those parents on that first day! Hope you and daughter survive!
Doug! How is your opening going? It was wonderful having you in Houston! I don't cry myself, but I really feel for all the parents who are not quite ready to let go of their babies! LOL! I love the semll of new crayons and pencils!
So glad the first day went well! I think of you often.
